Craig Chatterton has over 15 years of experience managing global software development programs including offshore development, program management and technology transfer. He has managed many international software development programs and forged business relationships across the world and has a wealth of global experience and perspective.

Craig consults with companies starting up and operating development centers in India and other countries. His focus is helping companies accelerate success in offshore development and thereby significantly reduce the associated time to market, cost, effort, and risk.

Between 2003 and 2006 Craig held several senior management positions at SupportSoft. For most of this time he was Country Manager for SupportSoft India . In this role he was responsible for starting up SupportSoft’s operations in India from scratch, establishing the vision and direction of the organization, aligning the organization’s activities with SupportSoft’s business initiatives, and building a strategic and sustainable business. In the first year Craig established a world-class engineering capability including full product R&D, services, and support ownership. The scope was expanded during the second year to include sales and product management. The 75-person strong India center is responsible for several product lines, delivers services worldwide and is headquarters for SupportSoft’s Asia Pacific business.

Between 1976 and 2002, Craig held various R&D and services positions at Hewlett-Packard Company. This included a six-year tenure as Director of HP’s India Software Operation (ISO) in Bangalore where he championed strategic leadership and quality initiatives, built a world class R&D organization, and grew the manpower strength from 30 to over 900. ISO develops HP products and delivers solutions for HP customers worldwide. Following his assignment at ISO, Craig managed VeriFone’s E-Commerce Software Division R&D and VeriFone’s Technology Park in India .

Craig holds a bachelor’s degree and master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.
